I just bought and installed a new 5.3 L on my Silverado 2010 model. My radiator has an engine oil cooler and I need to get a new radiator. In the meantime I have an oil block off plate that was already installed on the motor when it came. Is it safe to run my truck with just a block off plate until I can get a new radiator. Obviously cannot use the radiator I have because of contaminants from the dreaded AFM lifter failure. I don’t tow or anything like that. It’s just driving to and from.
