Hey guys! Not new to the chevy side of things but new to the vortex portion! I've owned and obviously worked on several fantastic chevys in my past. My first owned was a 78 K10 step side, 350/350 lifted on 33's. Second was a 72 cheyenne, long box fleet side, 350/350. And third was a 71 GMC burb 4x4, reman 350/350. By far the burb was and has been the coolest and most fun I've ever owned!
Currently working on a 79 K10 short box with a vortec 350/350. Been a nightmare so far and only had it a month!
I'll be posting questions as I can't research or find the answers I'm in need of with this set-up.

 

Welcome to the forum from Oregon. I have been in the industry for a long time but am curious what a Vortec 350 is unless it is a drop in engine and the original is gone. I do know what that 350 Vortec engine is but only in newer models. Love to see some pics of the engine bay. Plus are you saying it is 350 HP or mated to a 350 turbo?
