Default 89 K1500 5.7L to 97 K1500 5.7L Vortec Motor swap

As the title states, I have an 89 K1500 with the 5.7L auto trans and I want to put it in my 97 K1500 auto trans. Is this possible? Will I have to swap the transmissions as well? Wiring harnesses match up? Also can I put the Vortec heads and/or intake manifold on the older 350?

I just put a 1974 gm goodwrench 350 in my 89 and I used the vortec heads and intake with an edelbrock 650 carb and it runs fine if you don't use the vortec intake you will have to woller out the 4 center holes as the vortec heads are if i remember right 45 degrees and the stock ones are 35 or vise versa but you only have to compensate for the 4 holes in the center
