Default 98 Silverado 5.7L Oil pressure

I been looking up online and stuff on the oil pressure psi. My truck is reading at 60 psi cold and warm at idle. I recently had my truck in for repair and the mechanic took off the oil cooler lines and replaced it with a bolt on filter. He said the original cooler lines has issues and this was a upgrade to my 98 Z71 silverado K1500 5.7L. It used to be at 40 psi before but after he changed it it now reads 60 psi. Is that normal for the oil cooler kit? It does go down to 40 psi when I drive it but once at idle it reads 60 psi. Granted the truck has 165k on it but the motor is excellent. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I doubt if anyone here can answer that. My 1998 K-1500 will run 40 PSI hot idle and 55-60 Hot at 2000 RPM plus. Having a steady reading all the time makes me think something is amiss but since its modded now who knows?

I would be happy with those pressures. Could try a new sender
