99 Suburban 5.7, having starting issues when it's cold outside. Acts like not getting fuel, but after about 8-9 attempts it starts and runs perfectly the rest of the day. Possible problems or what to check? Thoughts....? 245,000 miles but only 30000 on a new crate motor...

 

Brent,new guy Larry here.I have had my 99 suburban 18 years and have put 188,000 miles on it.Just my 2 cents, but maybe a bad fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter.Never had your specific problem though.When my fuel pump started going out I could bang the bottom of the tank and it would start working.I am sure there are other people here that might have had your specific problem.
