Bad AC Delco Radiator
I have a 2019 Silverado with 65,000 miles and I noticed the coolant level was low I kept refilling as needed and brought my truck to an authorized dealer and found a radiator leak and charged me $1200.00 to replace Unbelievable that a radiator leaks at 65,000 miles I’ve owned Chevy trucks but seriously thinking of switching brands
ridiculous that a radiator fails at 65,000 miles
very unhappy

Welcome from Florida. These things happen with the other brands also. This is a bad reason to switch if everything is good. I would not have paid $1200.00 for a radiator. There are many shops that would have done it for much less. I would have done it myself for just the cost of the radiator!!
$1200 is insane for a radiator replacement, even at a dealership, in my mind.
The issue these days with radiators, condenser coils, AC systems, refrigerators and other such is that they use much thinner metal these days than in the past. As an engineer, the thinner metal does increase efficiency in heat exchange to the cooling fins and air. BUT it comes at the expense of fragility and being more prone to pinhole leaks. And they mostly do it on radiators because it's cheaper to produce. But they are all made that way these days.
