My 2011 Equinox has a dead battery and I don't think a car this new should have this issue. A couple hundred books for a car I bought with 70 miles on it brand new? Seems like after I took my car in now it continues to cut off. Now we are at 70k miles and the battery is dead. Just doesn't make since. I switched from a Ford to Chevy and I don't remember my Ford giving me the same issues.

 

You probably have a draw on the battery. Have the charging system checked.

 

You could have a problem with the charging system, but your battery is about 5 years old and that is about the life expectancy of a battery. It is not unusual for a battery to be replaced at about 5 years. It doesn't matter if it is a Ford or Chevy.
