Default Bolt in oil

On my 2014 Chevy Express 4500
When changing my oil recently I found a small bolt (17 mm x2.5mm)
It was in my drain pan, not in the filter

Well, that would bother me too. Are you the original owner?

Which motor do you have and how many miles does it have?.

Is the engine operating properly and not making any undue noise?

Any issues at all, or just finding the bolt/screw? Is it slotted or does it have a head?

Thank you for your reply.
I'm the original owner, V8 6L, 14000 mi, no othe noises or abnormal behavior,
I drained the oil for an oil change and there it was, lying in my drain collector before removing the filter.
It has a cone shaped head and would need hex (Allen) type tool to remove

See your other thread. As it was pointed out, the thread locker dosen't appear to have been installed (purpose of thread locker is to keep bolts/screws from unthreading themselves) so, my thoughts are it was dropped during engine assy.
