Bill: I cannot give you a go or no go, on the Avalanche. I am an old fashioned pickup man myself. I can tell you one thing, however. 122000km= 77000 miles which is nothing to me. My 2015 Chevy Malibu 2.5 liter motor has more miles then that and no oil is used at all at 6000-mile oil changes. Went up to 8K one time. No oil used.

I literally put 309,000 total miles on a Chevy 350 CI motor in a 1997 C-1500 and only the radiator failed one day, When I sold it, it only burned half a quart of oil every 5000
miles. Smog passed no issue Change your motor oil with synthetic oil and good filter every 6000 miles and you ought to have a long lasting engine. According to CC, 2007 was the worst year for the Avalanche, BTW.
