Default Cam timing

Bill 2003 cavalier 2.2 engine I am a good shade tree mechanic. Have replaced many timing chains, belts never had a prob. 2003 cavalier started making chain noise. Installed new chain, fixed guide and adjustable guide also tensioner. Never touched counter balance chain so its still timed correctly. Turned engine by hand to ensure no issues. Noticed intake valve was opening very late, almost bottom of intake stroke. Since colored chain links lined up with timing marks I buttoned up and started engine. Runs rough. Ripped it all open, reset to TDC scribed cams realigned chain. Everything still timed correctly. Started run kind of rough.
not my car so dont know what work has been done. I need cam card or opening and closing events or pics of cam lobes.

Good to have ya, Bill. Thanks for the intro.

This is the welcome area for hello's, though. So as the red title at the top warns, you need to post your help question in the Cavalier section. You'll have better luck over there. Cheers.
