Car won’t stay running as soon as I take the cables of the battery it shut of

Need some help with figuring out some stuff with my Corsica won’t stay on and can’t figure out why

first of all never remove the battery cables with the engine running...the battery acts as a sump for the charging system...what you are doing is a good way to have the charging system to spike voltage.
Why are you removing the battery cables from the battery?
