Chev Nut from Canada
Hi All,
I decided to join for advise on buying a classic & parts sources.
I'm currently looking for a '57 Chev Bel Air / 150 / 210 wagon for a daily summer driver. Preferably with a small V8 (265 or 283)or 6cyl Automatic.
After owning several new cars, I've realized that power windows, door locks, heated seats etc are great...........till they break down. Very expensive to fix though. I know my way around an engine providing there is a distributer & carburator on it. I've decided that my next car will have power NOTHING ('cept maybe brakes & steering) & electronic NOTHING. I was originally going to buy a Dodge Magnum untill I found out you couldn't get one without power windows & locks.
I play 4 different saxophones & need the wagon for this purpose + the fact that I have two big dogs to haul around.
Any help would be greatly appreciated in this quest for my perfect chevy.
