got the lines all blocked .idling a little better but still stalling alot

Might look at replacing the carb base gasket. Trying to go back 38 years, but could be either the carb is loose, and or leaking air under it.

You might check the carb bolts, could be loose. Quick year is look at the tail light lense, it will be "date stamped". 1980-1984 ish
