Converting K10 into K20 Dually
- Chevrolet
- K10 1981
- 4WD / 10 bolt front / SM 465 / TC 208 / 14 bolt rear
- 305
- Step-side 6'
- Trying to figure out if I can keep my 10 bolt with a 14 bolt dually axle or if I have to change some gearing
- Back story: I am Active Duty Army and was stationed in Wainwright, AK when I bought this chevy 3 years ago. It's been in Alaska it's whole life with abusive owners before me, I'm slowly bringing it back from the abuse.
I have recently been stationed in Washington state and I am going back to Fort Wainwright within a year time frame for another 3 years, I'm taking advantage of the area I am in to find parts and to make it into my dream truck. My wife
currently owns a 1986 chevy with a 454 Dana 70 dually clean truck, keep getting told her trucks better...
