Has anyone experienced corrosion on the roof of their 2009 Silverado at the high mounted stop lamp area? I have corrosion present here and wonder if this was caused by GM not properly cleaning this area prior to the factory paint process. I cannot believe that I am the only owner experiencing this issue. Please let me know if you have had this problem and what GM has done to help cover the cost of fixing this. So far GM has told me they will cover 45% of the cost to fix this. The total cost for fixing this has been estimated by a Chevrolet dealer to be $950.00.
