for a while now when I started my 2002 chevy suburban the starter would grind a little bit, but now all the time. Recently occasionally accompanied with the grinding the truck chugs but doesn't start. Usually after cranking an working the ignition I can get it to fire up. Today however, when I left work I cranked it grinded a bit then it chugged to life about 5-10 seconds of chugging. Tonight, went to the store everything worked fine. I get back into my truck and it flicked from grinding to starting and back, and then the truck chugged for a minute. Since all that happened all the truck does is crank and crank, cannot get it to fire.
Im not sure if there is an oil pressure safety switch or anything like that which would cause the truck to not fire?
Any input would be much appreciated.
