Fuel gauge working erratic Traverse LT1
Hello.
I'm new here.
I have been experiencing issues with the fuel gauge showing half tank and tank was empty, it happens more than once, when I fill the tank it takes several minutes to go back to full.
Took the car to a Chevy dealer, they diagnosed the fuel system and I was told the interior of the tank have collapsed and the tank needs to be replaced.
The car is out o warranty and the repair will cost more than 1K$$$.
I was not convinced and called two more dealer around and both disagreed with the diagnosis.
I replace the pump and sending unit with original Chevy parts the first time I had the incident.
Does any body ever here knew about this issue before or the dealer is lost also on what to do???
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!
