Default Getting the short SHIFT

Hi, I've got a '94 S10 Pickup with a five speed trans. After about half an hour of local driving, the clutch doesn't seem to disengage fully, and I really have to fight it to get it into and out of gear. I had the tranny rebuilt last summer, and mechanics have looked into it several times and none can find the problem. If I'm at a light I can shut the engine off and put it in gear rather easily, then start it up and go on, but while the engine's running, forget about it. For this reason, I suspect that it might be some sort of bugaboo with a sending unit or sensor, but while looking at a wiring diagram, I saw nothing to check out. Has anyone else ever had this type of headache, and what was the remedy?
