Greetings All
Hi everyone, I am a newbie to the site and wanted to say hi before I post my help request. My name is Mark and I live in just south of Richmond, VA. I am a born and bred GM faithful. My first car was a 63 Impala that my dad bought new in 1963 and I wish I had never sold it years ago. I always remember helping my dad work on it and that is what stated my career as a mechanic. My first big project was rebuilding the 327 in that 63 at 14 years old. When I graduated from high school in 77 I was given the title. I kept it until 1979 when I fell in love with a 77 Firebird Formula. Since then I have had a 73 Cheyenne, 62 Impala, 68 Impala, 76 Monte Carlo, 78 Cheyenne, 97 Venture, 73 Nova and my current toys an 88 C1500, 01 Blazer, 09 Trailblazer, 2005 Yukon and my 2001 21' Maxum with a 305 in it. I spent many years as a tech in the days when you rebuilt stuff and diagnosed problems before replacing parts. I have run a few service stations, worked at a couple of Chevy dealerships, Goodyear and my last automotive job was at a small used car lot. My professional automotive career ended while working on a 71 Porsche 911. I was on a creeper preparing to drop the engine to replace a jug and piston when someone bumped the car as I was removing the last bolt. The engine shifted and started falling on me so I caught it until someone put a jack under it. It separated my ribs from my sternum and although I kept wrenching for a while it just too painful to do it every day. After leaving the field it took about 4 years for things to heal. Anyway, I hope that I can assist someone one day and I hope that someone out there can help me with my current gremlins.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
