Default Greetings from Canada!

Hi I'm new here as well. I'm from Manitoba up here in Canada. I'm looking for some help with some problems on my 05 chevy colorado. It's been giving me issues while driving on bumpy roads. It's probably a short or damaged wire but the symptoms are strange to me. When I hit bumps on the road I notice my temp gauge become unstable. It will go up and down some then it will drop all the way and as that happens the rpm will temporarily drop as well. This happens regularly on gravel road driving. Wondering what I can look for to fix that. I'm not very mechanically experienced but enjoy tinkering on things like that. The fuel pump is new. Thanks for any help
