Default Headlight burn

My problem is I just purchased an 08 Chevy truck 1500 crew cab from private party the left headlight was not on the seller told me he had just replaced it
and I noticed the socket was a little burned where it makes contact at the headlight so I went to a wrecking yard picked one in good condition wired it and it worked great for about a month of once in a while
driving the truck no the same light burned through and the socket is not making full contact it’s burned just like the one I took off what is going on please help !!!

Try a new socket and make sure you are using the correct bulb. The bulb has to make good contact or else too much heat is generated and the socket burns.
