I live up here in Maine and am restoring an 88 Caprice 9C1. It was an unmarked for one of the larger cities in my area. The funny thing is that it only has the 4.3 V6!!! Actually, I discovered, that a few of our major cities went to that size engine in the late 80's because of fuel prices and the department didn't see a need for a larger engine in a city setting (no real pursuits;per se). Other than the engine, the rest of the car is pure 9C1. I managed to get a copy of the original title record and a photo confirming it's history as a police vehicle. I'm hoping that I may be able to get some good advice on this forum; and maybe share a little of my knowledge too!
