Smile Hello everyone!

Starting a father/son project. My son who is 15 found a 93 Chevy Caprice with a siezed engine but has a decent body for $200. Its a 305 and but of course he wants to put in a 350. I want to keep it simple and stay with the 305. I've done some engine work but never pulled an engine and 305's are plentiful. Anyway, thanks for the questions to come!

Welcome to the Forum...

A 350 swap would not be difficult at all. It's different internally. But like you said, a 305 is very plentiful.

Welcome. A 350 would be pretty much a direct swap.

Welcome to the CF. I've had a 305 and would probably have appreciated the 350 more. make sure the tranny is up to the task either way and enjoy it here.
