Default Hello everyone...

Hello people,

My name is Shady and I live in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. I'm an editor and automotive writer with The Saudi Gazette, an English-language daily tabloid. I've managed to locate a 1987 two-door Caprice, one of the cars I've wanted for so long, and I'm probably going to turn it into a project. I already own a Mazda 6, and my wife has a GMC Yukon. My father and I have owned two Caprices before, one a '78 and the other a 76, but that was a long, long time ago. I'm glad to be here, and I hope this forum will be useful to us all. I'll begin with asking my first question in the appropriate forum.

Shady

Hey Patrick,
The hits keep on coming! Just this Thursday, I happened upon an early-90s GMC Typhoon for sale, which belongs to none other than one of the three GMC/Chevy dealers here in Saudi. The thing has only about 40,000km on the clock, but seems to have been standing still for a LONG time (some rust all over because of Jeddah's salty air.) The guy wants to let it go for a very reasonable price, so I'm having second - and even third - thoughts about the Caprice. What do you guys think?

TIA,
Shady

Nice truck. I think that would be a better project car as it is already fast. Now you can make it faster.
