Hey all! I just bought a 1990 Chevy C1500 today and I'm super excited about it. So I figured I'd join a forum that could share my excitement and share some expertise!

I've been in the market for a work truck and did a bunch of research about what would serve me best. After owning a 2009 Chevy Colorado, I knew I needed a full size truck since I plan on running a landscape business.

I found and a purchased the aforementioned 1990 Silverado(one owner btw) and have been blown away by it even though it's only my first day of ownership.

She ain't perfect cosmetically, but boy if that engine don't purr like a kitten. She's had a good 146k mile life so far.

EDIT: I should probably mention I picked it up for $1,000. That's a steal here in the Greater Chicagoland area when considering what else is on Craigslist and the like.

 

Hi Oden! Welcome to the Chevrolet Forum. 305 or 350 motor? Good choice. I had a C-1500 myself Now have a K-1500.

 

It's got the 350 in it. Still runs strong and I don't forsee it letting me down
