Default Hello from Florida

Hello, I have a Chevrolet Silverado from motor trader for more than 10 years, I recently bought a new battery, but literally after a short period of time, year or maybe a little more, I couldn't start. I charged the battery and at first time everything was ok, but then again after a long idle time I need time to start. I checked the battery at service, they told me that there was 12V but not 14V. Is it a generator or something with wires? Or I need to buy a new battery? I didn't have any problems with electrical part. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Should post in the Silverado section for more views. You can get the battery tested free at most auto parts stores. Are you driving it daily?

Welcome to Chevrolet Form, NIOMARVIN83!.

You might have a bad alternator. Should be putting out 14 volts while running. Do you have a multi reader handy?
