First of all, Hello to every one, I'm Ron, Dayton, OH. (AF Retired) My wife has 06 Chevy Impala SS 5.3 purchased new. I use to do all my own work years ago before cars got so technical. Impala Check eng lite came on recently, several checks suggested bad gas cap, changed 2 same problem, got code 0445, replaced canister and solenoid switch (behind left rear wheel) lite went out, but came back on after 2nd start up, checked code again and got 0449. Checked positive wire to solenoid with a test light grounded to frame and got no power. Not sure where to go from here as I only have a very basic code reader and I'm not sure where control module is located or what other checks to make. Any one have any suggestions? Thank you.
