HELP!97 Siverado Z71,Steering,air conditioning

Default HELP!97 Siverado Z71,Steering,air conditioning
I need help! My son and I have a lot of memories in this truck and I'm goin to give it to him once I get a few things fixed so it's safe. The steering wheel keeps jerking to the left with no consistent frequency, What causes that? Also AC only blows hot air! Recharged the to 45, no leaks, it sounds like the motor clicks on for about 5 seconds then clicks off? Any idea's?
