Default Help please newbie here

Not new to mechanics but new to the forum, HELLO.

I have a 1997 HD C2500. My problem is that after three Alternators it still doesn't charge. At times it will be charging at 14-15 volts right after start-up but within ten minutes or less the gauge goes back down to battery voltage. It continues to drop as the truck runs off it.

I cannot find any info on tracking down the problems inherent in a '97 that might cause this. Everything else works as it should except the Tach, which hasn't worked since I bought this used truck.

Thank You for any help you can give...
