One of my painters drives a 99 venture with over 350000 kilometers and it is still going . Only problems is rusted rockers panels. It is a common problem with them and on my 2009 uplander I filled up inside the rockers through the draining holes some rust check in spray. If done on a regular scedule the rust will never show up. I had a 1990 cherooke that I sold in 2003 and I kept the rockers panels oiled with rust check and I never had a bit of rust on my rockers panels.

 

I know this very well. My Venture also had rotten rockers. Nothing a grinding wheel and some putty didn't take care of.

This is my first minivan and I am liking it very much. Only mechanical problem is the A/C clutch keeps blowing fuses.

I did buy a 2001 Grand Caravan Sport for $500 Great shape, again rusty rockers) that I am considering using for work and selling the Venture, not too sure yet.
