Hydraulic clutch issues
i have a 2000 Silverado with manual transmission and 4.3
clutch pedal Assy broke and I replaced it. Wow, what a job. Since then clutch release only a fraction of an inch off floor or several inches. Tranny doesn't want to shift smooth.
I thought , even though clutch res never opened, maybe air in line. I tried to bleed with two person pump and release method. Peddle went to nothing (no resistance). Got a air powered bleeder and tried that but the bubbles just keep coming and still no peddle resistance.
Mum afraid it's the slave cylinder and from what I can tell tranny has to be pulled to replace. If anyone knows something else please let me know. I do not the line into tranny is wobbly at contact point but don't know if that's just type of connect.
Anyone point me to detailed link on process?

What I read is the slave cylinder is not very good quality, and is inside the bell housing. Looks to me like you will have to pull the tranny, and with that I'd suggest careful inspection of the tranny shaft seal, and clutch disk. That would be the time to replace if neccessary.
