Hi, I am looking at a 2005 Avalanche to buy, I was wondering the gas mileage on a V8 flexfuel,4 wheel drive Automatic. It does not have the stock rims and tires. Will that change the gas mileage???

Depending on how much larger the tires are will tell you how much mileage you will lose. But yes you will eat up more fuel for sure as the larger tires have more rolling resistance, and if they raise the truck even a little you lose your aerodynamics from more air under the car too. Typically the larger tires weigh more also and you got to get them moving with the same torque you had. Plus the shift points are all off with larger tires.
