Default Just got my first Chevy...

Ummm, well I'm new here, and to the Chevy world. I just bought a 1985 1/2 ton with a 305 and already I'm having start up, idle, and power problems. Figured I would just introduce myself though because I may be back to ask questions if I can't figure my problems out (which is more than likely as I'm not much of a hand with diagnosing and fixing automotive problems).

So ya, my name is Ky, I live in Alaska, and I love to play paintball. The chevy pickup is the sixth rig I've owned since I got my license in mid 2003 (yeah, I'm 19...). My first was a '93 Toyota HiLux (she was my first true love... ever) that I picked up for $2,000. After about a year I had run her to death, so next was a '92 Dodge Caravan C/V for $400. I killed it when I took it off a jump (the engine brackets ripped out chunks of the transmission housing... Poor little 'Creampuff'). Then I got an '85 Mercury Lynx for $300. Eventually I sold it off no worse than when I got it (it was a piece anyway), so then I bought a '89 Ford Escort Pony Edition for $600. My sister is driving that temporarily until she gets her Dakota running again. So I was driving a '96 Jeep Cherokee that I got for $600 (it was involved in an accident, but still runs and drives pretty good), but my drunk neighbor needed cash quick, so I bought his Chevy for $550. I guess that's a quick history on my rigs... not that I think any of you really care...

you jumped a caravan of all things.

Funny thing is I have drove my mom's 96' caravan off road (just mud didn't jump it). It was fun even though it got stuck fast.

Which transfer case does it have
