LongTime Chevy driver 1st time Chevy forum user!
The reason I'm long time Chevy driver is because they have always been the BEST pickups I've ever owned...dependable, easily worked on, and usually not too difficult to troubleshoot...until computers entered the picture that is! I'm 63 and even though I use computers, smartphones (oxymoron?) and tech daily, when it comes to computers as applied to vehicles I can get a little lost. So...my name is Murray, I have two Silverados, a 1997 and a 2013 and I'm looking forward to learning a lot here!

Don't feel badly.
There is so much to learn. You might consider getting a book describing some of the systems . There are some manuals out there that might help give you some idea of how some of the new vehicles "WORK". They keep coming out with new stuff every year and it is tough to keep up.
You will be amazed at how much new stuff is coming out every year. They are becoming more difficult to repair without the necessary info and tools.
Just yesterday's scan tool is already obsolete and the capable ones are VERY expensive.. You might like the challenge.
