Major problem with impala 2003
Hi, my mom have a 2003 chevy impala 3.4L and since a couples of months the car has been acting up. The car will start and run fine for a day than out off nowhere it won't start. everything work in the car radio wipers etc but no crank ...
so far I changed the battery, the starter and the alternator even had the bcm changed at our local chevy dealer for 600$ so what is wrong with this car ??
the car start if we boost it ...
oh and some time when this happen the car get in anti-theft lock -_-
right now I suspect the ignition switch or that the dealer didn't reprogram the bcm and the remote key to unlock or lock doors correctly because I have noticed that if we unlock the door with the key the car start but the second we use the remote the car act up. I also noticed there is no power in the cigarette lighter. I will check the fuses
If someone had had this problem and find a solution please tell me cause the car is about to get send to the scrapeward XD
Problem solved after replacing a lot of part on the car I decide to check the battery voltage that thing was giving 11.9 volts no Wonder the car wouldn't start. I bought a new battery and the car started right up and my mom haven't notify me of any other issue so far.
P.s. even if your battery is not that old check it cause mine was not even a year old and it was bad.
