My Dream Car!
Hello everyone. My name is Dan, I'm 64, live in Wasilla, Alaska, and am excited tonight. Today I bought the same car I had in high school - a 1961 2-door Bubble Top. It was white with a red stripe and red/white interior with a 283 and 3 on the tree. I loved it until a hit and run side swiped me and ruined the whole left side. This one is a beautiful light blue with white stripe and white top and blue/white interior with a 348 tri power with automatic trans. It is beautiful and close to show quality. But I intend to drive as often as I can. It's an Arazona car with no rust and a like new interior.
I need help with 2 questions. I have a 1967 Imperial with a 440 and I need to use lead additive with the gas because of the valve seats to burn today's gas. Is it the same with a 348? If I don't use lead additive will it cause damage? And second, can anyone tell me how to determine if the engine is the correct #'s matching egine? The seller was under the impression the engine was installed by the previous owner and is not original. I'm not sure. Some things are different from my old 283 Impala that indicate a higher build quality. For example, the hood release and padded dash.
Thanks in advance for any information that will shed some light on this issues. I look forward to enjoying this site with you all..

Basically anything before 1970 you should put the additive in. I'm thinking 440 would be correct in a 1967. There is a 63 imperial in my nieghborhood. I love those chrysler's! Does your back glass roll down?
