I have a 89 Silverado 1500 standard cab and I am looking for a new rear window with the sliding middle glass. The window on my truck is original and the rubber molding is deteriorated and falling apart. I wish I could just replace the molding but I have been told that the entire window has to be replaced as one unit...not just the molding. I haven't had much luck finding a suitable replacement. Perhaps someone could offer some suggestions.

Did you contact a glass/windshield company to ask about this?

 

My passenger side window can only go down with driver's control but not up. Passenger side control works fine. I suspected that rain got in last summer when I mistakenly left the windows cracked while at work. Also had the same lead up to the failure, in that it was slow in raising the window from passenger side, until it stopped completely. Thanks
