I have tried a few other forums, LS1Forum, Performance Trucks, GM Forum and a few others in hopes of getting some info..

I am having a hard time locating information about the new 2010 L96 Engine..
I have the opportunity to pick up a complete L96 and 6l90E combo but there is like NO information out there for upgrading it HP wise..

I also found some conflicting info where the L96 could be a 5.3 or a 6L the 6L puts out 323HP and the 5.3 is like 280HP..

I want to put the set up in a 1970 Monte Carlo

GM only list the motor as a marine engine.. This one came out of a 2010 Savanna Van. There is only 2 miles on the motor and trans..

Any assistance with information would be a huge help in making up my mind on weather to buy it or not.

Thanks.

I understand I am on the GM Forum.. I was needing information on the Gen IV motor I want to use for my project.. The motor designation is new for 2010 and I needed some info on it.

Thanks for looking at the thread though.
