Default New 2020 1500 Silverado and a few questions

Just picked up a pre owned 2020 Silverado Crew cab 4x4 5 days ago.
The truck was advertised as having a “tow package”. Buying was interesting with all this COVID stuff.
Anyway I hadn’t noticed there was no receiver hitch under the bumper and only a spot to knock out the plug in the bumper and put a ball. I switch from 2” to 1”7/8 often and want the receiver. Wouldn’t you think if it has the towing package it should have came with that or am I off base?
I called the dealer Friday and they’re checking into it and I’ll be calling them tomorrow.

So today I’m trying to figure out how to get the cover off the trailer wiring connection at the rear bumper and come to find out the cover isn’t a cover for the connections it’s a blank and the connector (I assume) must be purchased separately. Not sure how to tow without the connector OR receiver.
I’ll be on them about that too.

So what would the a towing package be in GM eyes, a beefier suspension and wiring running to the bumper and no connector? I’m confused

Ma and thanks for having me on your site !

A towing package would include a frame-mounted hitch and an electrical connection at the very least. I am fairly certain that you paid for something that you did not receive. I would certainly follow up with the dealer. They owe you a refund on this mistake, or they need to make it right and install all the equipment that comes with a trailer towing package for your Chevy. If they don't do so for some reason, a call to Chevrolet Customer support will ensure that they do make good on this matter.

Thank you Henry and I agree.
The dealer is “checking into it” and said the rental company they bought it from claimed it had these things. All I know is if they got taken when buying It it’s not my fault and I’m not getting taken for their misfortune.

I think I posted this in the wrong forum. Can a moderator please move to the Silverado forum?
Thank you

get the hitch...don't pull off the bumper hitch mount...the weight rating off the bumper is crap....and it looks like crap when the cover is removed and the ball is mounted.
