Scored myself a 1987 Chevrolet Scottsdale in pretty nice condition last weekend and I'm absolutely in love with it. Engine runs great (V8 - 305), starts every time without hesitation, haven't found any leaks anywhere, no visible rust anywhere on the exterior, minimal rust on the underside, interior looks great with no significant tears or cracks anywhere (Silverado logo on the dash reveals that it was transplanted from one of its Chevy brothers). Replaced the break pads yesterday morning, planning on replacing the shocks, wheels, and some smaller components here and there throughout the week to get her ready for daily driving and CCR fueled highway trips by this coming Saturday. I'll likely be seeking some maintenance related advice in the near future as I get a better feel for its condition. See you all around.
