Default New to the Chevy family any advice would be Great

I've had ford trucks for a long time and my buddy who is a chevy freak showed me the power you can make with chevy engines. After seeing that i want to get a chevy car or truck. I want to build an engine for it, he said the small block 350 is the best start, cheap parts. Does anyone have any advice for somone who has never built an engine, i want to build it to have 300 plus horse. Any ideas would be helpfull

Welcome to the forum!
Ask your questions in the engine and internal section. I really recommend buying a crate engine, then beefing it up. Get ya a 383 stroker
