Hello everyone, I just bought my first Chevy of my own over the weekend, an early birthday present to myself (I turned 27 yesterday.) I bought a 2008 HHR 2LT in Cyber Gray Metallic. Now, I used to drive my Dad's '85 Caprice back in high school, but this is the first Chevrolet that's all mine. Since then I've had a string of bad luck with older used cars: '94 Pontiac Grand Am (engine failure), '84 Olds Delta 88 (broken trailing arm), '91 Dodge Caravan (engine) and most recently a 2001 Honda Prelude (transmission). And it's not like I was rough on my cars or neglected maintenance, I just have a knack for picking lemons I guess. Needless to say, I was ready for something relatively new.

So far, I LOVE THIS CAR!! (It is safe to call the HHR a car right?) I've never had a car this young, less than 5 years old. It's a nice change, having a car where everything works. I love the cargo space, one of the main selling points for me. I race R/C cars on the weekends and needed something bigger to haul my expanding arsenal to the track. I also like all the bells and whistles that most people take for granted these days, but I've never had, such as the info center with outside temp, tire pressure monitors, real-time MPG calculations, etc.., and the heated leather seats and remote start are just the icing on the cake. I plan on keeping this car for a very long time, and have a few modifications in mind as well (lowering springs, custom stereo, new wheels, etc...) but for now I am enjoying it immensely.
