My name is Ryan, and I have an 07 Chevy Tahoe 2WD 5.3L Posi traction 3.42 geared rear end. New to the forum and looking for some insights. Can anyone point me in the thread of 07 Tahoe stuff?

I had my rear end rebuilt a couple of months ago, and just today 2/7/23 I heard a popping noise and was worried that the backlash is too loose. It is geared 3.42 and has a posi traction rear end. The vehicle is a 2WD and I don't abuse it as everything costs too much these days. I am wondering if it could be the splines on the shaft assembly or the teeth in the rear end. Any help for what you have witnessed or come across would be very helpful.

Thanks I did post there too thanks for the advice. I posted here because I figured this thread would get more eyes on rather than looking through the list of forums to find a new thread.
