Really nice to have you here. I'm totally blown away by your Chevelle. Saw the first pic and thought yeah a 396......but wait! Now I just gotta know your 1/4 mile times. When does the little blower start to talk? We were here looking at my office. One of the guy's said "flat top pistons, long duration, high lift cam (roller??). How close did we guess?

here are some specs!
Camshaft: Comp Cams Extreme Energy 274 (XE274H they call it) part number 12-246-3, and the specs are as follows:
Gross Valve Lift: 0.487" intake 0.490" exhaust
Duration at 0.050" lift (installed at 106 degree centerline): 230 intake / 236 exhaust
Lobe Separation: 110 degrees
Cylinder Heads: AFR 195
Pistons: Keith Black Hypereutectic flat top
He's pretty good!
She made just about 500 to the wheels b4 we installed the blower. Havent had her on a dyno with all the goodies..
the only thing i need to work on now is traction

I can certainly understand the traction (or maybe the lack thereof). As I remember, those particular Chevelles were pretty light in the *** end and acted alot like a pick-up. I remember one guy in our bunch who used 4:56 gears (posi-track) and 90/10 front shocks to achieve weight transfer on his 396 Chevelle. That's probably real Old School now. I'd be interested in seeing how you handle the traction problems. Please keep us advised and thanks for your response.
