Hi Everybody! You probably don't have too many members from EU, so here I am From Poland to be precise.

I own 1997 Chevy Tahoe 5.7, 4 door 4x4 and I just love this truck. Especially that there are not too many of them in this part of the world

Photos will soon follow.

Yes, a warm welcome for sure. How'd you get a Tahoe in that part of the EU? I mean there can't be that many Chevy dealerships there in that part of the world. Just interested.

Well, there are plenty of Chevy dealers here, mainly because GM bought the whole dealership network from collapsing Daewoo and rebranded it to Chevrolet. Unfortunately GM bought also license for cheap and crappy Daewoo cars.

Back to your question Gwampa - Tahoe I own served in the USA embassy in Germany. Thanks to this I have EU version of gauges (speedometer in km/h, temperature in Celsius, etc.). As far as I know there was no official distribution of any USA Chevy model in Europe, with exception of Corvette. Here we have models like Spark, Lacetti or Epica, which you probably haven't heard about.

Thanks for the response. It never occured to me that Daewoo was bought and owned by GM. The idea of Daewoo being crappy little cars is no suprise however. Glad you were able to get a nice embassy vehicle. Always thought Daewoo sounded like somthing Daffy Duck might say. Post some pics of your ride too, we'd like to see.

The Tahoe forum has seen a fair share of worldly owners, seems the biggest conversations are reliable repair shops and access to parts...
I think you will find the forum most helpful especially if you are doing your own repairs... Welcome!
