Just picked up a 1997 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion van. It's a higher mileage vehicle from Michigan at 170k but the motor seems strong and the temps stay cool and it shifts pretty good.
The previous owner has a lot of receipts over the last year totaling almost three grand so it has had a bunch of service. Rebuilt transmission in 2012.
It has some issues which I will post in the appropriate sections of the site. Just saying howdy and hopefully you guys and gals can help me get the rest of it sorted out.
New 2012 Chevy YF7 Upfitter Explorer Van AWD Express 1500
Hi I just bought a 2012 Chevy YF7 Upfitter from Explorer Vans on the Express 1500 Chasis with the 7 Passenger AWD 135" Wheel Base (All Blacked Out. I am loving it!! Great ride. I am just curious if anyone can direct me toward relevent threads/communities/links for this van. Just let me know if you have something similar. I have many curiosities and may start upgrading the sound system for the rear TV DVD player and surround speakers as well as repairing a recently snapped spring on one of the rear captains chairs that swivel. Also curious what constraints the electrical system would have if I wanted to add a maximum wattage power inverter with a couple 110V outlets. Any feedback is welcome!! I've never enjoyed a used car purchase as much as I am enjoying this one!
Thanks a million and Happy New Year!!
Welcome to the forum. Check out the van section of the forum. The best way to add additional AC power would be to add an additional battery. Connect it in parallel to the chassis battery and add an isolator so that it won't drain your chassis battery and leave you stranded.
