Just stopping by to introduce myself. Tomorrow I pick up my new 2014 black Impala 2LT. Trading in my 2005 black Impala (notice a theme here?). I hope to pick up a few helpful hints on this forum.


This car is my pre-retirement present to myself. I'll retire at the end of the year with 42 years combined federal civil service and federal contractor. I also retired from a combination of Air Force/Air National Guard time in 1993.


I'm active on several Corvette forums as well as the Traverse forum.


I'm sure it will take me a week to decipher the owners manual so I will appreciate help with all the dumb questions I'll probably ask.


And as you can tell from my signature I'm folically challenged!

It usually takes about three black vehicles to convince someone that they have other things to do besides keep their vehicles clean. At least that's what it took for me.

Thanks for the welcome guys. As for black cars, I believe the new Impala will be my 7th black car. Just always liked black cars. I've even been known to like a Ford if it was black. I have a reputation of always having clean cars so black cars are not a problem for me.

I looked at the Ashen Grey but since my Traverse is Cyber Grey I thought they would look too much alike.

And as for my Corvette, all Corvettes are RED!
