New Suburban Owner
Howdy Everyone,
I'm new here. The past few days have been sort of a Blitzkreig of Information for me, as I am in the process of becoming the new owner of a 1995 Suburban K1500 LS.
This is a dream come true for us, as we needed a strong 4WD Vehicle very badly. They tell me the Suburban will fit the bill. I have a nice truck, but it's 2WD, and we have been borrowing other people's trucks to haul hay in the Winter up here.
This puppy is beautiful, and while it has 190K (highway) miles on it, it is immaculate! There isn't a ding on it. It has every option (all work!) except for the Moon Roof. It was used by a local church to take long trips in. It was maintained meticulously by my friend who owns a shop in town.
It only needs an exhaust system (muffler back) and a basic tune up. I'm getting it for $1400. I think that's pretty good.
So, I'm most definitely in a huge learning period, as I am not at all familiar with the newer vehicles, and mostly have just worked on my old school Ford Truck (1971 w/390 4V).
Thanks for having forums like this. It allows newbies like me to ask dumb questions, and get pointed in the right direction. I'm looking forward to it!
Bob
