Just wanted to introduce myself and say nice forum here.
I allways considered myself a Ford guy but I have owned 7 chevys and only 4 Fords.
On March 8, 2013 we traded the wifes 2008 Chevy Malibu (with 165000 miles in 4.5 years not one problem) in on a 2009 Suburban LTZ. We were looking for a low mile 2012 Suburban LT but when we found this 09 with 23000 miles we could not pass it up. We had a 2005 Suburban LT but traded it for the malibu when gas hit $4.10 a gallon knowing my wife was going to be putting lots of miles on it. Now that our kids are in a school close to home we could not get back into a Suburban fast enough.

My DD is a 2008 Cobalt LS 5 spd with 155000 miles on it. only had to replace the fuel pump, didn't go out just had the leak issue.

My Beater Truck is a 2004 Ford F250 Lariat that I replaced the 6.0l Power Stroke with 12v Cummins Diesel.

Anyway have been searching the forums looking for fixes on the door handles turning into razer blades with the chrome delaminating, and other upgrades I can do to the Suburban.
