Hey everyone, I'm Jim. I have an 87 Cavalier Conv. I bought a few years ago. It's got the 2.8L MPFI, and it flies! But I don't beat on it. I got it with 65,000 miles, and it has about 95,000 now. VERY reliable little thing. It pretty much just needs paint, and the AC doesn't work.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the car sounds great. Air condisionting (how ever that's spelled) is an easy fix. I would suggest you take it to someone and say fix it. That can get expensive. Maybe that's why 3 of my pickups have air condisioning, but none of them work. Oh well.
